The Philippine American Society of Certified Public Accountants of Los Angeles (PASCPA-Los Angeles), a non-profit organization, was formed on September 4, 1986 with the unification of three previously existing groups: The Filipino Accountants Association (L.A. Chapter), Filipino Accountants of Southern California, and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Southern California. These three organizations united because they recognized the importance of achieving greater positive impact on the community as one unit.
To this day, PASCPA runs on this principle of unity by fostering cordial and harmonious relationships among members of the Society and the community.
The Society currently has over three hundred members.
PASCPA is a member of the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), the umbrella organization of Filipino CPA associations throughout the United States of America and Canada. A national convention is held annually at various cities in North America.
